Production, Shipping and Open-Source

Hello backers,

We're excited to share the latest news about JetKVM! We've made excellent progress on production and shipping.

Fill Out Your Backer Survey

Before we start, let us remind everybody to fill out your Backer survey; otherwise we can't ship you your reward. This form is for collecting your delivery details, so please complete it as soon as possible. The sooner you fill it out, the sooner we can ship your device.

Production

The assembly team is still working super hard right now and building fully assembled, ready-to-ship JetKVM devices. As of now, we have over 10,000 JetKVM units ready for dispatch, with more being produced, packaged, and shipped every day.

When will I receive my JetKVM?

  • December Batch: The first rewards have already started shipping and are being dispatched on an ongoing basis. We will start dispatching rewards to backers with extensions starting no later than next week.
  • January Batch: Will begin shipping in January 2025.
  • February Batch: Will begin shipping in February 2025.

Open Source

As promised, we have made the software and source code for JetKVM available to the public following the first device shipments. The full source code is now live on our GitHub repository: github.com/jetkvm.

Here's what's available today:

  • KVM Runtime & UI: The core application, written in Go, responsible for device functionality. The UI for both the Cloud Dashboard and the local dashboard is stored in this repository. Link
  • Cloud API: The cloud services, including the API, enabling remote access and management. Link
  • Website & Docs: Comprehensive resources to help you get started. Link

We're releasing this under GPL, staying true to our commitment to transparency and open collaboration. We also encourage you to visit our GitHub repository, explore the code, and contribute!

The only missing piece is the system image repo, which will be added in the next few days, as we're finalizing some essential details before a public release.

Stay in the Loop

Our JetKVM community on Discord has grown to over 4,500 members. We're also active on X, BlueSky, and Mastodon.

Cheers, Adam & Lian
