Shipping & Software Update

Hello Backers,

We're back with another update on shipping progress and new software features. We know many of you are eagerly awaiting your devices, and we truly appreciate your patience.

Shipping Update

December & January Batches

  • 94% of December backers' rewards have already been dispatched
  • A significant number of January rewards are still pending
  • We expect all remaining December and January rewards will ship before the end of the week.

February Batch

We expect the absolute majority of February rewards to be dispatched this month. There is a risk that some February rewards get delayed into March.

March Batch

We expect this batch to be dispatched in March, with no delays.

Kickstarter vs. Retail

We are preparing for retail availability, but we are not there yet. JetKVM remains a Kickstarter-backed project, meaning delivery timelines are estimates rather than fixed retail shipping dates.

Why Don't You Follow the Backer Number Sequence?

We aim to ship orders as sequentially as possible, but with over 25,000 backers - many with multiple items - it's not always feasible to follow backer numbers exactly. Our priority is to ship as efficiently as possible while adhering to the backer number as well as possible.

Expanding Our Support Team

We've expanded our customer support team to improve response times, but scaling takes time. We currently receive over 100 emails per day, and while we're working hard to get back to everyone, we ask for your patience. We also kindly ask you to reconsider reaching out for simple shipping status inquiries - please check your inbox for shipping notification emails.

Software Update: New Features & Fixes

We've rolled out a major software update (0.3.7 & 0.2.2). Notable changes:

  • ATX/DC/Serial Extension Support
  • Dark Mode
  • Cloud connection is now much more stable
  • Fixed mouse movement issues in full-screen mode
  • Improved USB compatibility for more BIOSes
  • Saved EDID configuration on the device
  • Added display brightness settings

Open-Sourcing the System Image

As promised, we've officially open-sourced the system image repository. Now, you have full control over building and customizing JetKVM's firmware. Check it out: github.com/jetkvm/rv1106-system

Stay in the Loop

Our JetKVM community on Discord has grown to over 8,100 members. We'd also greatly appreciate your support on GitHub!

Cheers, Adam & Lian
